Today In Stupid News?

I was reading the news on Yahoo, which I pretty much do everyday. Today I read 2 articles that had me thinking WTF, and I had to share them.

The first one is just real stupid, some dude found out his bright idea wasn't so bright.

Both articles via Associated Press

Ark. funeral home no haven for meth lab
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A funeral home might be a place for eternal rest, but police say an Arkansas man saw an opportunity to build a methamphetamine lab undisturbed by the living.

There was just one problem — the funeral home was across the street from the sheriff's office.

Officers say Robert Lee Lewis left the light on in the basement of the Higginbotham Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge on Dec. 3. Officers noticed the light on after hours and walked into the funeral home through an open door.

Inside, police say they found all the components necessary to build a meth lab. Officers arrested the former funeral home employee when he returned.

The 43-year-old faces several drug charges and is free on $2,500 bond pending a Jan. 21 court hearing.

And this one I found to be real interesting, these kids are really special. My first thought was "what were the consequences if they would have been late?"

RI boys accused of stealing car to get to school
WOONSOCKET, R.I. – Two Woonsocket High School boys did the right thing by trying to get to school on time. It was the way they got there that police had a problem with. Police told The Call of Woonsocket the boys ages 15 and 16 stole a car Tuesday morning in order to make it to school on time.

Police received a call about a stolen vehicle at about 7:44 a.m.

John Raymond, an officer assigned to the school, found the vehicle in the parking lot.

After questioning some students, he identified two boys he thinks arrived in the car. One was located in class, and the other was in the in-house suspension room with the stolen car's keys in his pocket.

The boys, whose names were not released because they are juveniles, are charged with motor vehicle theft.
